The revolutionary world of 3D printers

For fairs in London recently there have been recent advances in 3D printing technology currently working on a large number of scientists and universities. In this exhibition you can see many different examples as a bra, shoes and even a musical ensemble that plays instruments made with a 3D printer.
3D printing of computer programs such as Autocad or similar with the goal of creating computer images in three dimensions. The printer produces 3D computer model faithfully by overlapping layers of some material. This printer technology was originally developed by scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology . Researchers in this project Z Corporation founded the company licensed from MIT and later the company was bought by the Danish Contex.
Since 2003, various systems have been developed and have launched a cost reduction as sales increased.3D printers have had a great development in the industrial prototyping a first stage, but then being developed for the direct manufacture of products. The scope is manifold: architectural, construction, aerospace, medicine, etc.
There are various printing technologies which are more or less appropriate depending on the type of application in which they engage. The projection binder powder deposited a composite in layers using an inkjet binder material to achieve bonding of the layers. The UV photo polymerization works with photo resists solidification using a UV lamp of high power. A variant of this, involves the polymerization of a photosensitive resin by means of a laser beam.
Manufacture by cutting the laminate is based on the placement of successive sheets, joined by a gluing system. Other printing technologies are injection or deposition modeling flux. 3D printing has clear advantages over other such as stereo lithography, and that does not use toxic or polluting elements and it is a fast low cost and easy to use.
The printer resolution is usually measured, first by the layer thickness and on the other by the dots per inch in the XY plane. The layer thickness is typically 0.1 mm or even less than this in certain machines (up to five times less for very specific applications). The resolution in the XY plane is in the range of laser printers. The choice and the tolerance to employ depend printing system to produce the piece of material to be manufactured and the requirements.
Applications of 3D printers
There are many applications that can be given to a 3D printer from industrial prototyping manufacturing spare parts or materials, archaeological reconstruction of parts or bones and body parts in forensic science. Most applications is coming, but really impressed application possibilities under investigation in medicine. Researchers at the University of Missouri are working on developing a 3D printer that can create biological organs based ink. The research team is currently working on the development of a vein.The most important advantage that will be the elimination of donor search and rejects.
